Tim Oitzman
Founder and President
Tim has over 30 years of transactional experience in mergers and acquisitions, general corporate finance, management buy-outs and leveraged acquisition transactions, nearly all of which has been in the construction materials industry. Prior to founding Greystone Group in 1996, he served as managing director of a San Francisco-based investment bank. During the last 30 years, he has managed over 75 construction materials related transactions valued at over $10 billion. Considered a key participant in the consolidation of the U.S. construction materials industry, he has represented the largest global construction materials producers including Vulcan Materials Company, Lafarge-Holcim, Cemex, Grupo Cementos de Chihuahua, S.A., Plum Creek Timber, Boral Industries, Knife River Corp., Natural Resource Partners and Taiheiyo Cement Corp., along with many other privately owned companies in both buy-side and sell-side transactions. Tim has served on numerous boards and currently serves on the board of the American Junior Golf Association and the Legacy Foundation. Tim is a graduate of Luther College, where he served 12 years on its Board of Regents and is now Regent Emeriti. In his free time, Tim enjoys golf, cycling, and spending time with his wife and two children.
Reed Shafer
Vice President
Reed has been with Greystone for over 20 years and currently oversees its valuation and market research activities and manages transaction execution. With more than 20 years of M&A advisory experience, in the construction materials industry, he has been actively involved in numerous transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $7 billion. Prior to joining Greystone in 2002, Reed lived in Washington, D.C. and was employed by Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) and specialized in the telecommunications and high technology sectors. He received a BS degree in Business Administration with concentrations in finance and accounting from the University of Richmond. Reed enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
Dylan Whitehead
Senior Financial Analyst
Dylan joined Greystone in 2022 and is responsible for financial modeling, economic research and transaction support. At the University of North Texas, Dylan earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance while serving as an Analyst, Portfolio Manager, and ultimately President of the Student Investment Group. While in school Dylan interned with the capital markets team at Goldman Sachs as well as the venture capital group at Stadia Ventures working on early-stage tech. During his free time, Dylan enjoys golf, basketball, and hanging out with family and friends.
Allison Goll
Senior Market Analyst
Allison contributes to market research, industry analysis, and due diligence efforts at Greystone. Allison joined the firm in 2022, bringing experience from her previous role at Ernst & Young where she worked as an assurance staff specializing in the telehealth and oil and gas industries. Allison holds a BBA in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from Baylor University. Outside of work, she enjoys sports, traveling, and quality time with her family and friends.
