Responsibilities may include screening calls; managing calendars; making travel, meeting and event arrangements; preparing reports and financial data; training and supervising other support staff; and customer relations. Requires strong computer and Internet research skills, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients and vendors. Reed Shafer
Managing DirectorWith a strong background in company valuation, Mr. Shafer manages Greystone’s valuation and market research activities. Since joining Greystone in 2002, Mr. Shafer has been actively involved in numerous transactions valued in excess of $1 billion. Prior to joining Greystone in 2002, Mr. Shafer was employed by Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) and specialized in the telecommunications and high technology markets. Mr. Shafer received a BS degree in Business Administration with concentrations in finance and accounting from the University of Richmond in 1998.
Tim Oitzman
PresidentMr. Oitzman has over 20 years of transactional experience in mergers and acquisitions, general corporate finance, management buy-outs and leveraged acquisition transactions. Prior to founding Greystone in 1996, Mr. Oitzman served as vice president of a San Francisco-based investment bank. During the last 15 years, he has managed nearly 50 transactions valued at nearly $2.0 billion. Mr. Oitzman is considered to be a key participant in the consolidation of the U.S. construction materials industry. He is a 1987 graduate of Luther College, where he serves on its Board of Regents.
